Our Campfire Story
Whisker Outpost was founded by a dedicated group of animal fosters, veterinary technicians, and animal welfare advocates each bringing unique skills and experiences, united by one shared mission:
To rescue and rehome animals while serving as a trusted resource for our community.
Our vision is to build Whisker Outpost into more than just a rescue we're creating:
A safe haven for animals in transition or in need of care
A support system for our community and other local rescues
An education hub for the people who care about animals
Whether it's offering medical guidance, sharing foster care expertise, or responding to urgent needs, we believe in working together to uplift both animals and the humans who love them.
We may be small, but we’re already making a big impact, and we’re just getting started!

Animal Intake
Found a lost animal on the street? Trapped a feral that can be socialized? Located some kittens and mom hasn’t returned?
Contact Us and we’ll schedule an intake assessment to take them in.
Animal Education
We believe animals thrive when we work together and when we’re informed. Our team includes experienced vet techs, fosters, ecologists, and animal welfare advocates who are passionate about sharing knowledge.
We offer education through printed guides, virtual and in-person classes, and one-on-one conversations during meet-and-greets to help our community become confident, compassionate caregivers.
Foster Support
Did you find an animal and want to foster them till adoption? Want to join our WOLF pack and be on-call to open your home to an animal? We’ll supply you with everything you need! (See our WOLF Pack page)
Food Bank and Assistance Fund
Rescue work doesn’t come with big budgets, that doesn’t stop us from showing up for our community however we can.
Our Outpost Reserve stockpiles food and supplies for our local community and distributes based on needs and in crisis.
Simultaneously, our Whisker Wallet holds funds in reserve to assist partners, adopters, and our WOLF pack in times of need.
Neonate Care and Triage
Did you find abandoned neonatal kittens or puppies? Have you waited for mom to return? Do you have a kitten fading and need triage? We’re here to help.

Every purchase helps support our mission.
